Sharks don't have a jaw that is attached to their skull. Instead it moves as separate piece. The upper and the lower jaw can work on their own without the other moving. This allows the shark to have a very powerful pull and to be able to latch onto what it wants fiercely.

Blacktip sharks are found worldwide in inshore and off shore tropical to
subtropical waters. They have an average size is 4.9ft with a maximum reported length
of 8.5ft! They feed mainly on small schooling fish such as sardines, mackerel and
many other bony fish. While stuffing their faces with tasty fish, they are known to breach out of the water whilst feeding. The teeth on the upper and lower jaw are almost identical, they have a broad base and are very pointy. Perfect for snatching up a fish for a late night meal.
