Ew!  This book is a collection of one hundred and thirty eight photographs of medical dissections performed between the years 1880-1930.  Victorian taboos be dammed; Horace stands proudly next to the torso he labored over all semester.  Some photos are dark and disturbing; it’s easy to imagine Jack the Ripper’s American counterpart staging some of these.  Some of these photos have the air of a stolen moment filled with shame.  Proud students pose for an instructor’s snapshot, perhaps for a postcard to faculty members as part of a pledge drive?
